Not that anybody with a brain believes NYPost gossip anyway....and I didn't know she co-founded Nylon magazine! SEXY supermodel Helena Christensen isn't as sexy -- or at least as sexually active -- as she's made out to be. After we named her -- along with Petra Nemcova, Naomi Campbell and others -- as a friend of Sean Penn, Christensen, a former Miss Denmark and Victoria's Secret angel, sent us a blistering e-mail. "I'm quite honestly getting seriously fed up with being falsely connected with several men on Page Six: Josh Hartnett, Heath Ledger, and now it is insinuated (we all know what 'befriended' means on these pages!) that Sean Penn is another," the Danish pastry wrote. "There has never been any intimacy between myself and any of these men, and I want this cleared once and for all." Christensen -- who lived with late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence and was linked to Leonardo DiCaprio -- has a son, Mingus (by actor Norman Reedus), who is now 9 and old enough to read about his gorgeous mother. The green-eyed Danish-Peruvian beauty doesn't want anyone thinking she's a home-wrecker. "I have known Sean since I was in my early 20s and have met his wife [Robin Wright] several times," Christensen says. "He has always been a friend and we have several friends in common. I have always respected his wife immensely and regard her as one of my favorite actresses." Christensen, who co-founded Nylon magazine and designs a clothing line, begs: "Please stop always making up these ridiculous insinuations about myself and all these men . . . It was very hurtful to myself and Heath when we were wrongly declared a couple, and I'm sick and tired of the Josh Hartnett connection as well. These people were or are close friends of mine, as is Sean Penn." It must be a case of wishful thinking -- most men wish they could be more than just "friends" with Helena Christensen. "Inglourious Basterds" is a World War II epic that combines historical events with a vivid, pop sensibility. The movie stars, among others, Brad Pitt as an American lieutenant in search of Nazis and Diane Kruger as a German movie star/spy. It's both authentic and highly theatrical. Did you shoot on soundstages in America or in Europe? We shot the film in Berlin and a little bit in Paris. I only cast actors who could speak English with their native accents. The Germans have German accents, the French are French, and the English are English. During the war, your understanding of German, whether you were a French citizen or you were in a concentration camp, meant the difference between life and death. In Hollywood movies, Germans often have English accents, and I can't go for that contrivance. The proper accent could be the difference between success and failure. Quentin, when did you first become aware of the Cannes Film Festival? As a film enthusiast growing up in Los Angeles, I'll say by 14, 14, I already knew about Cannes. I think the first movie that I knew of that had won the Palme d'Or was "Apocalypse Now" in 1979. Life magazine did a whole big thing on it, with Brando on the cover in his bald head. I still have that issue. To me, that movie proved that when you make a great, terrific film, you take it to Cannes. That is your premier screening-your Ali-knocks-Foreman-out screening. What was the screening like of "Pulp Fiction", which won the Palme d'Or?It certainly wasn't, Oh they're going to win this, this is obviously the movie of its time. The violence was not 100 percent accepted, and there were some boos at the end. They were reacting against the idea that this could be considered art. Who was the head of the jury?Clint Eastwood. And the second head of the jury was Catherine Deneuve. I think of her as the queen of France. So having the queen judge your movie is scary until you remember that she did "Belle de Jour". She turned out to be one of my biggest defenders. She's spent an entire career supporting directors who pushed the envelope, from Bunuel to Jean_pierre Melville to Godard. You were the head of the jury in 2004. Whom did you award the Palme d'Or?"Fahrenheit 9/11." You know what? As time goes on, I've put that decision under a microscope and I still think we were right. That was a movie of the moment-"Fahrenheit 9/11" may not play the same way now as it did then, but back then it deserved everything it got. Did you like being on the jury?I loved it. I enjoy arguing. There was one year when I visited Cannes, and I was so caught up in the spirit that I picked 12 movies that I had never seen from all different countries and I watched them and did my own little awards thing. Can I tell you the movie that won? "Perfume" by Tom Tykwer. "Perfume" won my own little Cannes Film Festival. In your festival, who won best director?Bryan Singer for "Superman Returns." I am a big fan of "Superman Returns." I'm working on what is now a 20-page review of that movie, and I'm not done yet. When you're making a film, like this year's "Inglourious Basterds", which will premiere at Cannes, is it hard to watch movies?Maybe it's just this movie, but it's become very hard to concentrate on anything but the film I'm making. This was the hardest movie I've ever made. On this movie, you worked very quickly. Was that partially to have the film ready in time for Cannes?Yes. I wanted to have a masterpiece before the decade's out. What directors made you want to become a filmmaker?Sergio Leone and Mario Bava. I saw "Baron Blood" and "Beyond the Door II" by Mario Bava in the theater, and I was overwhelmed. And Sergio Leone is Sergio Leone. Those two influenced me the most as far as thinking in terms of shorts. And then I was in acting school, and I discovered I knew drastically so much more about cinema than anyone else in my class. I realized I was with the wrong group. What was the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?"Airport." At Grauman's Chinese. And I loved it! When the bomb exploded, I couldn't believe what I was watching and neither could anybody else in the theater. "Airport" changed things" now, when you buy a ticket to see a disaster movie, you expect disaster. That was not the case in 1970. Audiences then expected the hero to save the day. Before bagging the role of Twilight's heartthrob vampire, British actor Robert Pattinson was ready to pack it all in. Now he has fans camped outside his hotel. So why the long face, wonders Amy Raphael.
Ask if he has a fake hotel name and the giggling starts: "I was in Paris. Everyone in the hotel called me 'Monsieur Handjob'."

Bloodsucker Blues by Amy Raphael Before Robert Pattinson auditioned for the part of Edward the vampire in Twilight, he took a quarter of a Valium to see where it would take him. He got the part. He had no idea what he'd signed up for: he might have been aware that Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga had attracted 17m readers worldwide and that the Mormon mother from Arizona was the biggest publishing phenomenon since JK Rowling. What he didn't see coming were the teen girls who'd fallen in love with the sensitive, tortured Edward of Meyer's books. First they revolted online, calling Pattinson a gargoyle – and worse. Then they changed their minds, fell in love with him en masse and refused to leave him alone. Pattinson, who turns 23 later this month, has become an international pin-up since Twilight was released last year. He's probably bigger news even than Daniel Radcliffe. After all, Harry Potter still seems like a little boy while Edward is a passionate, redblooded teen vampire in love with a mortal schoolgirl called Bella. Forget that gargoyle nonsense, too: Pattinson is an unlikely fusion of Johnny Depp and Doctor Whoelect Matt Smith. He favours the same vintage clothes as Depp and the actors share the same tough femininity; he's got the same architectural hair as Smith, the same asymmetrical features and strangely alluring face. Oh, and he's six-foot tall with the lean body of youth. Yet Pattinson himself can take none of the attention seriously. Educated at a private day school in London, he has the kind of posh English accent Americans love, but he's not remotely pretentious or full of himself. His Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, once said that Pattinson can't lie; he also can't seem to stop talking. Right now he's describing the hotel room in Vancouver, where he's been filming New Moon, the second in the Twilight quartet. "I've been living in this windowless room on the 30-something floor. Because the people who built it were afraid of people killing themselves! It's one of those business hotels. I guess they're worried about not being able to charge so much for rooms if guests were killing themselves …"
Most actors live in apartments, or at least hotel suites, while on set. But not Pattinson: "I've settled there now. It would take about three weeks for me to gather all my belongings. I don't let the maids in. I don't even pull the duvet down now because I don't want to see what's underneath." There are always fans waiting outside the hotel but he tries not to think about the phenomenal level of fame he's reached in north America; he says he'd go mad if he did. So he tries to disguise himself: "But instead I'm just getting more and more conspicuous; I'm wearing two hoods, a hat and sunglasses, which kind of stands out in the middle of the night. So I'm learning to sprint." At times Pattinson sounds grown-up, but he also lapses into adolescent silliness. Ask if he has a fake hotel name and the giggling starts: "I was in Paris. Everyone in the hotel called me 'Monsieur Handjob'. That was good, cheap fun." When he got the role of Edward, Pattinson was sent to have his hair cut and dyed. He was given a personal trainer and, for the first time, got himself a six pack. He was also sent for media training to help him handle the juggernaut of publicity required for Twilight (in the US principal cast members have to participate in events such as "hype-building panels" to push the film). He may now look more like a movie star but he still says things he shouldn't. In one interview, he volunteered the information about the Valium and then seemed to dismiss Little Ashes, an arthouse film he made before Twilight, as "nothing". He also pointed out, rather brashly, that "we didn't even have trailers". Pattinson's experience of film-making is limited – at 17, he won the small part of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, a role he reprised in the Order Of The Phoenix; he then lived off the pay cheque for a few years – but he's already got regrets. Little Ashes explores the homosexual relationship between surrealist artist Salvador Dalí and the romantic poet and dramatist Federico García Lorca in Spain in the early-1920s. It's a fascinating period – the surrealist film-maker Luis Buñuel was also hanging around – but art historians have already questioned the veracity of Philippa Goslett's script, saying that there's no proof Dalí and Lorca actually consummated their relationship. Made for a modest £1.4m, Little Ashes suffers from its ambition, and Pattinson – with only Harry Potter under his belt – struggles to portray the hugely complex Dalí with any real conviction. Yet he briefly blows up when I mention his dismissal of the film as "nothing". "I hate having to do all this shit! I've already been told to apologise for saying it. I was just trying to say that it was a tiny, little film. It had a minuscule budget. I was just trying to say that if Twilight hadn't come along, I don't know how much Little Ashes would have been publicised. In an ideal world, everyone would go around watching arthouse films about Dalí and Lorca. But a lot of people have no idea who Lorca even was." He collects himself: "People love all the negative stuff – 'He doesn't like the film!' 'He's a homophobe!' Oh great." Now that he's been told to make amends, Pattinson is actually taking Little Ashes more seriously. He even watched it the other night. And he never watches himself on screen, ever. "It's like self-flagellation, so why would I bother? And I didn't want to piss on anyone's grave. It was hard to watch my first scene, in which I turn up in this funny little hat … I was worried about watching them, but Dalí and Lorca's sex scenes were in fact the best scenes." Twilight fans, being obsessive, will certainly be checking out a nearly-naked Pattinson in Little Ashes (be warned: this is pre-six pack, though his skin is vampishly livid). That's the problem with suddenly becoming very famous; the skeletons fly out of the closet at breakneck speed. And Dalí's fetching little hat in Little Ashes is nothing compared to the succession of dodgy old adverts that have reappeared recently. There are some particularly fetching ones on the net of Pattinson in pants or trunks, with bouffant hair and a cheesy smile. "Really? When I looked like a real … weirdo? I swear to god that's illegal! It's just so embarrassing. Actually, I saw one the other day." Pattinson does seem to be overwhelmed with his lot right now. He hasn't asked Daniel Radcliffe for advice – "I haven't got his number!" – and is predictably prickly when asked about being defined by his role in Twilight. He spouts a lot of media training rubbish about making absolutely the best movie he can in the hope that people will see him as a good actor and not just as Edward. In the brief time I talk to him, it seems that he's in a place he never intended to be; after all, he was contemplating giving acting up before the Edward audition.
But perhaps he's happy with his life and it's just the interviews he hates. He says that when he's doing phone interviews in his hotel room, he sometimes wishes there was a window to jump out of. He's only joking, of course, but it seems that the actual process of acting has got lost in the fog of Hollywood publicity. Sometimes he has fun making things up in interviews. Such as? "I do really intellectually highbrow stuff in my downtime. I read first-edition Shakespeare. I write poetry. I'm trying to get my masters in neuroscience. That's the kind of guy I am." He pauses, clearly amusing himself: "Man, I don't even know what a masters is." And he laughs hysterically as he creates another shape with his hair.

Something Kinda Oooh? Young Conor Smyth must have felt like the luckiest lad in Belfast when he was given this special kiss. The 16-year-old from Londonderry had an exclusive backstage pass for last night’s Girls Aloud gig and was able to hook up with his favourite home town singer, Nadine Coyle. Nadine, who is an ambassador of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, took time out of her hectic schedule to meet Conor, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, and another devoted Girls Aloud fan — Caitriona Brauders (13) from Dungannon who has muscular atrophy. The meet and greet was the pop princess’s only official engagement during her three-night stint in Belfast. Unfortunately other band members, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberly Walsh and Nicola Roberts, were too busy rehearsing for the last of their three Belfast shows but both youngsters were more than happy with Nadine. Claire Trainor, from the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, said: “Nadine had said she had hoped to get up to the Children’s Hospice but because of the pressure and time demands of the tour it wasn’t possible — but we were able to get two of our teenagers backstage to meet her. We were in the dancers’ room and Nadine came in for a chat. She was so relaxed and was keen to speak with them both. “The kids were absolutely thrilled. They had seats right beside the stage for the concert and were able to get full close ups of all the Girls Aloud stars. They have both said that it was the best day ever. “Conor, who is from Derry, was relaying stories about people they both knew from Derry. She gave them both a memorabilia pack and signed autographs. Conor even got a kiss.” In an interview for the Belfast Telegraph Saturday magazine last month Nadine had spoken about her role with the hospice. Her last visit in August 2006 was a memorable occasion for the children who receive care there — and for Nadine herself. She said: “It’s such a wonderful place and the standard of care is unbelievable.” The hugely popular quintet will now travel south of the border to play two nights at the Dublin O2 arena. source

Dressing as Cheryl almost made me straight GAY Little Britain star Matt Lucas said he almost turned STRAIGHT after seeing himself dressed up as Cheryl Cole. Matt, 35, and David Walliams impersonated the X Factor judge, 25, and Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts, 23, for the return of hit comedy show, Rock Profile. They squeezed into gold sequined gowns like the ones the girls wore for their No 1 single The Promise. Matt said: “I looked in the mirror and I was so beautiful I nearly became straight.” The pair are “wonderfully happy and single” — and joked they fancy Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle. David said: “We both want to go for her!” In the Girls Aloud spoof, “Nicola” gets the hump when interviewer Miquita Oliver spends more time fawning over “Cheryl” — who was recently crowned the world’s sexiest woman by FHM. David, 37, said: “Cheryl’s just become this icon hasn’t she? So we do have some fun with that.”
The lads made their names on Rock Profile, which first aired a decade ago. On it they spoofed stars such as Sir Elton John, George Michael and Gary Barlow. Now they have a new crop of targets — including Peter Andre and Jordan, rocker Ronnie Wood and lover Ekaterina Ivanova and Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay hubby Chris Martin. Matt said: “I wanted to bring back Gary Barlow, but David said we needed new people and he was right.” The lads have also written a script about MTV reality show star Kerry Katona, 28 — who held a shambolic interview on ITV’s This Morning last year and announced a split from hubby Mark Croft in March. David said: “We did a lot of research watching Kerry on This Morning and wrote down her interview word for word. As soon as we had finished the script, they announced the split. But they were back together by Monday. Day by day it’s a new drama. “We take the mickey but it’s affectionate, it’s never personal.” The pair “quickly” wrote and filmed the Rock Profile episodes to launch the Brit version of website Funnyordie, which encourages users to upload sketches.
The pair have been very busy. David has just finished in the West End play No Man’s Land while Matt plays Tweedledum and Tweedledee in Tim Burton’s new Alice In Wonderland movie. The pals of 19 years have had more time since becoming single. David split with lingerie model Lauren Budd, 18, last month while Matt and hubby Kevin McGee are divorcing. SEE Rock Profile episodes on www.funnyordie.co.uk from May 11.( source) Sarah: I’ll Be The Next Angelina (World Dies Laughing) (The worst) GIRLS Aloud babe Sarah Harding says she wants to continue her acting career and become like Hollywood babe Angelina Jolie. The blonde bombshell recently starred in movie blockbuster St Trinian’s and low-budget flick Bad Days. And Sarah, 27, will soon make her TV debut in BBC2 Drama Freefall, with Dominic Cooper, 30. The feisty former DJ said: “I like Angelina Jolie characters where she plays the action lady. “ I love cars and I’m bit of a tomboy, so I could definitely see myself doing something like that, or a comedy, or a pyschological thriller – I don’t know! “It’s one step at a time, I still love my singing so I really don’t want to quit that completely.” And Sarah doesn’t only fancy Angelina’s style in movies, but also her fella. She giggled: “I’ve still got a bit of a thing for Brad Pitt!” STFU NO ONE LIKES YOU. ( source)
