We've got another update about rapper Guru's condition since suffering a heart attack recently.

The former Gangstarr frontman is currently recovering after undergoing surgery this week, which kept him in a medically induced coma. He' ok though.

In a statement on Wednesday (March 3), 43-year-old Guru himself says he has awakened and doing well in his recovery, adding that his business partner Solar will be the only person giving "accurate" updates about his status.

"I am doing fine and I am recovering. I'm weak though," Guru said. "Solar is the only person who has the accurate info on my situation. Any info from anybody else is false. I appreciate your well wishes and all the love."

In a statement himself, Solar -- who serves as Guru's Solar and partner for his 7 Grand Records label -- echoed the rapper's comments.

"Guru is resting and doing well after his surgery," he said. "The doctors say that he will fully recover from his illness. We thank everyone who send prayers our way and we appreciate the outpouring of love from around the world."

Guru's former Gangstarr partner-in-crime, DJ Premier, had been previously giving the public updates about the rapper's condition.

It's unclear if the rapper's disclaimer was aimed toward him, or another person.

DANIEL RADCLIFFE spent two days in hospital with a severe bout of food poisoning.

The 20-year-old star was treated for dehydration in New York after picking up the stomach bug on his way there last week.

He had flown out to support the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention charity for gay and transgender youth.

Daniel jetted back to London yesterday and one passenger said: "He looked as white as a sheet.

"He said he felt like he was going to die and had spent most of his time on the toilet."

*******

Awwww...poor bb. He was coughing through that MTV interview and didn't seem to be his usual self.

Go home and rest up! Only a few more months left of HP filming to go!

Burt Reynolds is resting at home after undergoing quintuple bypass surgery last week at a Florida hospital, Entertainment Tonight is reporting. The 74-year-old 'Smokey and the Bandit' star planned the procedure a month ago and is currently under 24-hour nursing care where he is expected to make a full recovery.

According to a National Enquirer report being released this week (and obtained by RadarOnline.com), Reynolds was told by doctors that "he would die" if he didn't have the surgery.

But Reynolds' manager, Erik Kritzer, disputes any notion that the procedure was an emergency surgery, calling early reports that the star was in dire condition "completely untrue."

Kritzer adds in a statement to WENN, "He wants to thank everyone for their good wishes and states that he has a great motor with brand new pipes and he is feeling great. Doctors plan on a speedy recovery."

One of Hip Hop's most influential emcees is presently in critical condition, several sources say. Guru, one half of pioneering '80s, '90s and '00s Brooklyn-based Hip Hop group Gang Starr suffered a heart attack this weekend, according to the emcee and producer's sister Tricia.

HipHopWired.com says that the emcee, born Keith Elam is presently in a coma from complications of going into cardiac arrest. Guru is best known for penning hits such as "Words I Manifest," "Discipline" and "Just To Get A Rep." Between 1986 and 2004, Guru (an acronym Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal) founded Gang Starr, a duo with DJ Premier that also includes Gang Starr Foundation affiliates Big Shug, Group Home, Jeru Da Damaja and Smiley Da Ghetto Child.

Born and raised in the Boston area, Guru relocated to Brooklyn in the late '80s, where Gang Starr released its first singles with 45 King as producer. By 1988, the group evolved as a duo with Premier, and released their 1989 full-length debut No More Mr. Nice Guy on Wild Pitch Records. The duo would go on to release classic albums on Chrysalis/Virgin/EMI, such as 1994's Hard To Earn and 1998's Moment Of Truth. Gang Starr's last album, 2003's The Ownerz featured Jadakiss, Fat Joe and longtime affiliate Freddie Foxxx. The platinum group toured the world and released several greatest hits collections, most notably Full Clip: A Decade Of Gang Starr in 1999. The duo announced their split in 2004, reportedly due to creative and personal differences.

As a solo artist, Guru released four volumes of Jazzmatazz, Jazz-inspired recordings with legendary genre artists such as Donald Byrd and Roy Ayers. Guru has launched two labels in his career, Ill Kid Records and 7Grand, where he and production partner Solar worked alongside artists such as Talib Kweli, Damian Marley and Jean Grae.

HipHopDX extends prayerful thoughts to one of our staff's most-respected emcees, the Elam family, Solar, DJ Premier and fans. We will keep you updated.

UPDATE: Miss Info confirms these reports with sources close to Guru. The emcee is presently in a New York hospital, awaiting surgery. DJ Eclipse spoke with DJ Premier, who also confirmed this. Premier was going to address the matter on Eclipse's Sirius Hip Hop Nation show, but later changed his decision.

NahRight.com has compiled Twitter reactions from notable artists including Jean Grae, ?uestlove, Royce Da 5'9" and Jay Electronica.

DX will continue to report on this.

CELINE DION has been left "bruised and numb" from her ongoing in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment and constantly bursts into tears over her pregnancy heartache.

The 41 year old has been trying for a second child with husband Rene Angelil and she has undergone four failed attempts by doctors to implant embryos in her uterus as they strive to expand their family. The couple had embryos frozen for in-vitro fertilisation while trying to conceive their first child, Rene-Charles, now nine.

In August (09) the singer confirmed she was expecting, but their happiness ended in heartbreak when doctors informed the couple that Dion was no long pregnant - and the star admits she broke down when she was told the tragic news.

In footage from her documentary, Celine: Through The Eyes Of The World, she says, "Rene answered the phone and when I saw the tears running down his face, I knew it wasn't the news we have been longing for.

"You do everything right and you're careful and you rest and then... the disappointment hits you like a wave. But I swear, I'll keep trying until it works."

But the process isn't easy for the 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker.

Dion reveals, "I give the shots (of fertility drugs) to myself. My thighs are bruised and numb and full of lumps from the long needles that go deep into the muscle. I don't want people saying, 'Oh, poor Celine,' but it does take a lot out of me.

"Sometimes I just suddenly burst into tears for no reason. Rene and I want this so much and we go crazy waiting for the results. As a girl who grew up with 13 siblings, I found it hard."

Time isn't healing all wounds, as evidenced by Morgan Freeman's left hand, which has been paralyzed since he was injured in a car accident a year-and-a-half ago, he tells PEOPLE.

The Oscar-winning star, again nominated this year as Best Actor for playing Nelson Mandela in Invictus, says he's never fully healed after the August 2008 crash.

"I suffered nerve damage and it hasn't gotten better. I can't move it,” Freeman, 72, said at Wednesday's Los Angeles County Museum of Art premiere of The Eastwood Factor, a documentary about the storied career of Freeman's friend and frequent director, Clint Eastwood. (The featurette is part of the 19-disc Warner Home Video collection, Clint Eastwood: 35 Films 35 Years at Warner Bros., which was released Tuesday.)

"If you don't move your hand, it will swell up," Freeman said. "Do you know you move your hand about a million times a day?"

Freeman's car veered off the road and flipped over several times in the late-night accident in Mississippi. He was then extracted from the wreckage with the jaws of life and airlifted to a nearby hospital, where for several days he remained in serious condition.

Chynna Phillips of the pop group Wilson Phillips checked herself into rehab for anxiety over the weekend, her manager, Lizzie Grubman, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Phillips is the half-sister of Mackenzie Phillips, whose claims last fall about a sexual relationship with their father put the family into crisis.

"After much thoughtful deliberation Chynna Phillips has checked herself into an undisclosed treatment facility for anxiety," Grubman says in a statement. "With the full support of her family and friends, she is looking forward to her recovery. We ask that people respect her and her family's privacy at this time."

Phillips, 42, is married to Gossip Girl star Billy Baldwin, and they have three children.

She came forward on The Oprah Winfrey Show to support her half-sister, who made headlines with her revelations their father, "Papa" John Phillips, raped Mackenzie when she was 19 and that she had an on-and-off sexual relationship with him over the course of a decade.

"I pray that we all get closer through this crisis," Chynna said at the time. "With prayer, anything is possible. But I would be lying to you if I didn't tell you that there are going to be some huge obstacles in front of us."

She also told PEOPLE: "It's such an uncomfortable subject for any family to talk about."

In September, the day before Mackenzie made her explosive claims, Chynna released her first album in years, One Reason, with Vaughn Penn.

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver on Wednesday called for an overhaul of America's food system, saying the country's poor decisions about what to eat are shortening life spans and increasing health care costs.

"My wish is for you to have a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, to inspire families to cook again and to empower people everywhere to fight obesity," he said in a speech at the TED Conference in Long Beach, California.

Oliver, who is best known for the TV series, "The Naked Chef," will star in an upcoming ABC series where he promotes local, healthy food as a way to fight obesity in Huntington, West Virginia, which he called the most unhealthy community in the United States.

"This is a global problem. It is a catastrophe. It is sweeping the world. England is right behind you [America], as usual," he said. "We need a revolution."

Oliver was awarded the TED Prize, which is given to speakers each year at the nonprofit group's conference. Prize winners are invited to make one "wish" that will change the world. The organization gives the winner $100,000 and helps honorees raise money to make their wishes come true.

Members of the audience stood up to pledge Oliver their support after his short talk.

Just so this doesn't become an American bashing thing i'll balance it out with this link to British kids being equally clueless . . . asparagus or an onion?

Oliver, who grew up working in his father's pub and restaurant in Essex, England, outlined a number of specific steps to help America get back to local and fresh foods and to combat obesity. Among them, he said:

• Every child in the U.S. should learn to cook 10 meals before leaving high school.

• Supermarkets should appoint "food ambassadors" to explain to customers how they can prepare local, fresh and seasonal foods.

• Food companies should make education a central part of their business.

• Food labeling should be improved to accurately warn people about unhealthy food. He called America's current food-labeling system a "farce."

Oliver's new reality show is called "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution." He is the author of a number of cookbooks.

The chef branched out into advocacy with a "Feed Me Better" campaign for improved school lunches in the United Kingdom. He presented a petition with more than 270,000 signatures to the prime minister's residence at 10 Downing Street in 2005, and officials promised to spend an added 280 million pounds ($437 million) to improve school food quality.

TED, a nonprofit organization, offers video lectures on its Web site for free -- the idea being to disseminate "ideas worth spreading," as its slogan says.

The group's conference continues through Saturday and includes talks from celebrities like Bill Gates, Sheryl Crow, Sarah Silverman, James Cameron, David Byrne and Eve Ensler, as well as less-known thinkers, biologists, technologists, artists and musicians.

Oliver's speech on Wednesday night was followed by a performance from Sheryl Crow.

He said the global food system can be revolutionized through the simple steps of individuals. He called on America to be a leader in these efforts.

"If America does it I believe other people will follow," he said. "It's incredibly important."

Anyone excited about this show? I am, a child mistaking a tomato for a potato = Win for me.

One of the stars of the reality show "Deadliest Catch" suffered a stroke yesterday while in port at St. Paul Island, according to Web sites associated with the show.

An engineer found Cornelia Marie captain Phil Harris on the floor of his stateroom, according to the Cornelia Marie Web site. He was immediately taken to a clinic in St. Paul -- the same place he was treated for a blood clot two years ago -- and flown to Anchorage for treatment, the site says.

"Phil is at a good hospital and receiving the best care possible," wrote Morgan Howard, the son of Cornelia Marie Devlin, majority owner of the F/V Cornelia Marie.

"My mother ... and Jake Harris are with him at the hospital. Josh is staying on the boat to help the new relief skipper who is flying out there today. The boat is in the harbor now, but needs to be able to leave in case the ice shifts and moves in," Howard wrote.

Harris was in port, off-loading his boat at the time of the stroke, according the Discovery Channel Web site.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Grammy-winning R&B singer Etta James has been hospitalized for about a week near her Southern California home for treatment of various ailments, including a bloodstream infection, her son said on Friday.

The 72-year-old recording star, best known for her bluesy hit ballad "At Last," grew ill after entering a detoxification center a month ago for treatment of an addiction to painkillers and over-the-counter medicine, Donto James told Reuters.

As her condition worsened, she was moved to a nursing facility, and then to Riverside Community Hospital, near her home east of Los Angeles, he said.

"She's been in a pretty big battle," said Donto James, her eldest son.

The performer is being treated for a number of ailments, including sepsis, a potentially fatal infection spread through the bloodstream, which in her case is believed to have started from a urinary tract infection, her son said.

He said that illness may have been a recurrence of an infection that she had around the time she performed "At Last" on the ABC show "Dancing with the Stars" last April.

Donto James, who played in his mother's backing band and is CEO of an addiction-recovery home in Riverside, said his mother also is suffering from speech difficulties, the cause of which he said had yet to be pinpointed.

He believes that lingering illness may have contributed to her public outburst last year over Beyonce's performance of "At Last" at an inaugural ball for President Barack Obama. James expressed anger that someone else sang her signature song for the president.
Her son said doctors at the Riverside hospital are planning to discharge James "very soon" and transfer her to a skilled nursing facility for follow-up care. He is not sure she is well enough to be released.

With songs like "The Wallflower" and "Good Rockin' Daddy," the three-time Grammy winner was a key figure in the early days of rock 'n' roll. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, though she diversified throughout her long career into mainstream blues, soul and R&B.

James had numerous ups-and-downs in her career and personal life, struggling with obesity and heroin addiction. In 2003 she underwent gastric bypass surgery and lost more than 200 pounds.
