Musician tells officer he used cocaine, wasn’t complying with treatment plan

Troubled rapper DMX was arrested in Arizona on Tuesday for violating his probation by regularly using illegal drugs during the last nine months, authorities said.

The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, told a probation officer that he used cocaine and was not complying with the terms of his treatment plan, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told Reuters.

He faces five counts of violating probation.

GLENDALE — A singer from the pop group Girlicious was arrested Tuesday night after police allegedly found more than a dozen individual packages of cocaine in her Gucci purse, officials said.

Natalie Mejia, 21, of Diamond Bar is being held today in Glendale City Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Mejia and Peter Asencio, 28, of Burbank were taken into custody after a police noticed a 1998 Ford Mustang driving at a high rate of speed, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

The officer stopped the car at Victory Boulevard and Winchester Avenue, just before it went onto the Ventura (134) Freeway, he said.

Mejia, who was a passenger in the car, was apparently heading to an airport for a concert in Canada, Lorenz said.

Police searched the Mustang after discovering Asencio’s driver’s license was suspended, Lorenz said.

During the search, police allegedly found multiple individual baggies of cocaine in Mejia’s Gucci purse.

"She doesn’t know how it go into her purse," Lorenz said.

She and Asencio were immediately arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale, Lorenz said. Asencio was also arrested in connection with driving on a suspended driver’s license, he said.

Nicole Richie wasn't the only person who looked out of place at The Oscars -- TMZ has learned cops had to spring into action Sunday when a non-Hollywood type ran on to the red carpet.

It all went down around 1:30 PM PST -- right before the stars began to arrive.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe a 28-year-old dude scaled a 6 or 7 foot fence, got on to the red carpet and began "skipping."

We're told he then broke in to a run -- but cops immediately caught up with him and escorted the dude to the ground.

The man was arrested for trespassing -- he's currently being held on $5,000 bail.

Diane Kruger Has Almost Been Arrested!

Diane Kruger hates authority.

The Inglourious Basterds star confessed she has come close to being arrested more than once because she gets so argumentative around people in power.

“I have a real problem with authority,” she said. “I’ve nearly been arrested so many times.

“Airports are the worst — you go through security, you only have one item, one tube and they tell you to put it in a plastic bag. I’m like, ‘But it’s one f***ing item! A plastic bag isn’t going to make it any more secure.’ ”

The 33-year-old German actress — who had a strict religious upbringing — believes the problem stems from her youth when she was an “angry child” who despised school.

“I was always arguing,” she said. “Unless someone could explain and it made sense to me I just couldn’t accept things.

“I think everybody has childhood problems, issues, whatever. I was angry when I was a teenager. I just really hated school and the Catholic bit was part of that. Just the suppression and everything being so proper."

Former model Diane struggled to find an outlet for her anger, so focused all her passions on ballet as a way of exorcising her frustrations.

“I didn’t see myself as an academic,” she said. “I wasn’t happy so I loved to be able to express my anxiety or passion or whatever you feel by dancing.”

Get a whiff of this.

Something rotten went down in Beverly Hills last night when former American Idol finalist Chikezie Eze was busted at Neiman Marcus for allegedly using a fake credit card to buy some cologne.

According to police, the popular Idol wannabe was collared by security after attempting to purchase two bottles of men's fragrance using a flagged credit card. No word what brand he was buying. (50 Cent's Power scent perhaps?)

In any case, Beverly Hills cops came and booked him for felony identity theft. Chikezie posted $50,000 bail and the matter is under further investigation.

The 24-year-old former airport screener, who placed 10th on the seventh season of Idol, later told reporters the whole thing was a mistake and he wasn't using a stolen card.

We'll see if he changes his tune before his next court date, scheduled for Monday.

The wife of professional wrestling legend Ric Flair has been arrested for domestic violence, TV Guide is reporting, claiming Flair suffered minor injuries at the hands of Jacqueline Bains Beems after the two had "an unfortunate disagreement."
While we'd certainly never make light of a domestic violence situation, we will note that Flair's catch phrase was "to be the man, you've got to beat the man." Apparently, it seems Bains Beems took that a bit too literally.
According to Flair's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, "Ric and his wife had an unfortunate disagreement [Sunday], which led to his wife being arrested and charged with assault."




Flair and Bains Beems married in November, marking the fourth marriage for the white-locked entertainer. Morris Zanoni went on to say that "Ric has done nothing wrong,' and that the wrestling pro "finds this incident unsettling and is committed to correcting any issues in his personal life."
But fear not, wrestling fans! Ric's agent says that despite the incident, "the important thing to remember here is that we have some very exciting professional announcements in the near future." Woooo!

Adrian Pasdar -- who played Senator Nathan Petrelli on "Heroes" -- has officially been charged with DUI following his arrest last month in L.A.

The 44-year-old actor -- who's married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines -- was initially pulled over on January 27 after cops say they clocked him going 90 MPH on the 405 Freeway.

After conducting a field sobriety test, cops eventually arrested Pasdar and held him on $15,000 bail.

Pasdar is due back in court on February 24 and faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine

Warren Sapp Arrested for Domestic Battery

Former NFL star Warren Sapp was arrested by Miami Beach police this afternoon and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery stemming from an allegedly violent confrontation with his girlfriend.

According to the Miami Beach Police Department, Sapp is accused of attacking his girlfriend of two years at around 5:00 AM Saturday at the Shore Club Hotel.

According to the arrest report, the alleged victim had "a swollen right knee and bruises on the back of her neck."

She claims Sapp allowed her to sleep in his hotel room -- then came into the room early in the morning and pulled her out of bed. The alleged victim says they began arguing about guys she was hanging out with earlier Friday night.

Sapp's girlfriend told cops that during the argument Sapp "grabbed her and began to choke her." He eventually threw her out of the room, she claims.

When cops spoke to Sapp, he told them he had allowed the woman to stay in his room -- but later on decided he wanted her to leave because "he was expecting company." He told police he was trying to help her and she fell.

Sapp is in Miami for the Super Bowl and serves as an analyst for the NFL Network and on Showtime's "Inside the NFL."

The NFL Network released a statement saying they were aware of the incident and that Sapp will not appear on the NFL Network until they review the matter.

Sapp is scheduled to co-host an event at BED Miami tonight. They tell us they haven't heard about the incident and, as of now, everything is still a go.

Charlie Sheen will be charged with felony menacing in connection with the Christmas Day incident with his wife, Brooke Mueller, in Aspen ... this according to law enforcement sources.
We've learned in addition to the felony, Sheen, who stars in "Two and a Half Men" will be charged with misdemeanor assault.

We're told the criminal complaint will be filed either late tomorrow or first thing Monday morning.
Charlie Sheen is set to appear in court Monday for an arraignment, though we're told he is not expected to enter a plea.
In addition to the arraignment, the judge will hear arguments from lawyers for Brooke and Charlie to relax the protective order prohibiting any contact between the two.
Charlie Sheen's lawyer had no comment.
