Basically, someone pretended to be a magazine editor and tricked Tila into thinking she had landed a photoshoot, only to cancel it for her "pregnancy" and replace her with Lady Gaga. But then Tila 'miscarried' and sent this crazy ass emails to the "magazine editor" pleading for the job.

RECAP: she was pregnant and she was SO HAPPY, but then she had a concussion and a metal chair fell onto her belly , cue miscarriage with  "blood all over the place", but she will keep trying for a baby or just adopt one. Then she pleads for the chance to do the photoshoot, because hey, she's not pregnant anymore AND she's the girl in the most demand right now, because she makes 'headline news every day'.

Loretta Long, 71, traded in the sunny days of Sesame Street for the cold shoulder of Route 130 Tuesday evening as the actress was struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross the busy highway.

According to Assistant Prosecutor Angelo Onofri with the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, Long, who played Susan Robinson on the hit PBS children's show, had just left the McDonald's on the corner of Dutch Neck Road and Route 130 and was trying to cross the highway when she was struck by a vehicle attempting to make a left turn.

The incident occurred at about 6:45 p.m.

Long, who lives in Cranbury, was taken to Capital Health at Fuld hospital in Trenton where she was listed in stable condition Tuesday night after suffering a head injury.

According to Onofri, whose office was called in to investigate the incident, Long ended up on the hood of the vehicle, which traveled about 70 feet before she fell off and hit her head on the pavement.

Onofri said the driver of the vehicle, Eugene Osman, was turning with the light and didn't notice Long attempting to cross at the intersection.

Let's wish Mrs Loretta a speedy recovery. More as updates occur. Let's hope those reports are more sympathetic... Also, I like how I received 78 email notifications from six replies here...

EDIT: Fixed the title. My bad. =P

Brendan Burke was the son of Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke. A few months ago, the sporting world found out he was gay in a story published on ESPN that you can read here. There was an ONTD post about that, so I thought this was prudent. RIP.

Brendan Burke, the youngest son of Leafs president Brian Burke, is dead after an accident in Indiana.

A brief statement from the Leafs indicated that 21-year-old died of his injuries from the accident which happened earlier on Friday.

The family has asked for “privacy at this difficult time,” the statement said.

Brendan and his friend, Mark A. Reedy, 18 of Michigan, were in a two-car accident at about 2:50 p.m. Friday in Wayne County, according to local police.

Brendan was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee when, witnesses say, the vehicle slid sideways into the path of a Ford truck.

The roads were treacherous with heavy accumulation of snowfall at that time, police said.

The fatal accident was one of 35 crashes reported in U.S. Friday.

Burke and his son Brendan were featured in a Toronto Star story in November 2009 after the younger Burke came out and said he was gay. He’d told his dad at Christmas 2007.

Burke, who has five other children, had told the Star’s Damien Cox that Brendan was very special. "People trust him immediately. He has a very sweet side that I envy because I don't have it," Burke had said.

"I just wish every parent could experience having a child like him."

Carmen Salinas and Lucia Mendez were both given a scare at an event in Mexico. The two ladies were singing in front of an audience and the stage started to crumble!

In a VERY dramatic and chaotic ‘escape’ from imminent death, the divas were brought to their bums on stage to be escorted away.

Again, very dramatic and chaotic…after all, we’re latinos!

USA Soccer Player on his way to making a remarkable recovery less than 4 months after a horrific crash

Charlie Davies is lucky to be alive. He knows it, and even if he were to forget, there are plenty of reminders.
There are the surgical scars that now tattoo the American soccer star's body. There are the constant reminders from family and friends who never let him forget what he nearly lost, and what he has already overcome. Then there are the pictures burned into his memory of the mangled car he was pulled from after he survived a car crash that killed another passenger on Oct. 13. Davies, 23, sustained multiple serious injuries (a broken right femur and tibia, a broken left elbow, facial fractures and a lacerated bladder). The prognosis was that he would face an arduous six- to 12-month recovery and extensive rehabilitation.

The strongest reminders of how fortunate Davies is come from Davies himself as he pushes through what is shaping up to be a miraculous recovery from that laundry list of major injuries. Less than four months after the crash that threatened to end his promising career, Davies is already jogging at a good rate and working on agility drills that would have seemed impossible just weeks earlier, when simply getting out of a wheelchair was an exhausting exercise.

What does this progress mean, exactly? It means that, barring any setbacks, Davies could be back on the field with club team FC Sochaux by April, meaning his chances of playing for the United States in June's World Cup should no longer be seen as a shattered dream.

"Charlie is pretty much light years ahead of where anybody would tell you he should be," said Jim Hashimoto, the former U.S. national team trainer who is overseeing Davies rehabilitation. "When everybody heard about the accident, including myself, it was like, 'OK, this is going to be a long one' -- and it's still going to be a long one, but to see his progress is pretty amazing."
Just how amazing? The multiple broken bones in his leg, face and elbow have healed. So has a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and he has recovered from bladder surgery, which left a foot-long scar on his stomach. He has regained the 15 pounds he lost after enduring six surgeries following the crash, and is days away from undergoing his final surgery associated with the accident, a procedure to remove a bone, plate and screws from his left elbow. After a week to recover from that surgery, Davies expects to be back training with Sochaux by the end of February.

"The World Cup is easy for me to be back for," said Davies. "I want to get back to France, and I don't want to just get back -- I want to be good.
"I don't want to be that guy just to make the [World Cup] team and just sit there. I want to be back and starting and scoring, playing well and doing the things I know I can do.
"People haven't seen the progress I've made, and maybe they don't know the kind of person I am and the motivation and new appreciation for being able to play that I have."

Davies was written off as a legitimate possibility for the World Cup because of the number of major injuries he suffered in the accident. However, his ability to heal quickly, along with the fact that he avoided any major long-term ligament injuries, has set Davies up for a recovery few could have seen coming.

Today, Davies looks very much like he did before the accident. The swelling in his face that was so evident during his interview with ESPN last November has subsided, though a shorter haircut reveals the scar he has from ear to ear arcing over the top of his skull. That scar came after doctors peeled his face off down to his chin in order to repair the multiple fractures that left his facial bones a shattered mess.

Davies has dealt with the physical recovery from the crash, but the mental recovery has been just as difficult. He acknowledges the mistake he made by breaking curfew with the national team on the night of the accident, and admits to fighting with the lingering doubts and questions about the fateful night in October.

"I couldn't sleep at night for two months," Davies said. "My mind would be racing, just thinking about how it happened and how I let this happen. How did I survive? Why did I survive? Why did I let the girl drive me home? Why couldn't I have taken a cab? When will I be back? Will I be back the same? How will the guys talk to me when I get back with the group? What do I need to do to change and be a better person?" [read rest at source] seriously read the rest it is very good

DAVIES ON FIRST WAKING UP AFTER THE ACCIDENT
“The next part I remember was just waking up in the hospital and thinking I was in Honduras, thinking that people were trying to steal my organs. That’s how I woke up. It was maybe the third day and I was really confused about where I was.

"A nurse came up to me and said, 'What are you doing Mr. Davies? Relax.'

“No. You tell me why I’m here.”

“You were in a car accident.”

“No, anybody could say that. Where am I?”

“You’re in Washington D.C.”

(Davies, who had torn out five staples from the incision in his stomach after waking up, realized that the story made sense and proceeded to pass out again.)

Jeff Conaway has fought a lot of battles for his health. This one may be his biggest.

The Grease and Taxi star, and two-time participant in Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, has suffered extensive injuries after falling down a staircase in his Los Angeles home.

The actor's girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi, has a dire prognosis.

"Jeff thinks these are his final days," she tells E! News exclusively. "The story is very complicated, which is why I have to tell it."

Manager Phil Brock adds that Conaway "is undergoing surgery on his hip right now."

Despite earlier comments from Conaway’s agent, Jay Schachter, about the 59-year-old actor suffering a brain hemorrhage and broken neck, Brock tells E! News he can only confirm that Conaway suffered the broken hip. (When informed of Brock's remarks, Schacter recanted his prior statement.)

Brock also says that he understands Conaway’s fall took place in his kitchen and that it is his second recent accident.

“This is the culmination of four months of health problems. He fell four months ago and has had trouble with stability and walking since,” Brock says.

Meanwhile, a source close to the actor tells E! News that Dr. Drew Pinsky has once again been involved in treating Conaway in recent weeks.

Get well, Kenickie!

Jeff's not quite in surgery yet according to Dr. Drew:

The 24-year-old star needed hospital treatment for suspected torn leg ligaments after the accident in Los Angeles.

She was seen yesterday hobbling near her home.

A source said: "Leona was riding the day before New Year's Eve and fell off when the horse started galloping too fast.

"She went to accident and emergency. It was pretty scary. She had quite a tumble.

"But it hasn't put her off riding. She's fine and will be back on her horse soon."

Leona didn't let the accident ruin her New Year celebrations.

She partied at a bash in Las Vegas's Bellagio hotel hosted by US singer ROBIN THICKE.

Robert Pattinson Chips Tooth in Flossing Accident, Says Twilight 3 Co-star

Sure, he looks foul-smelling, but would you believe Twilight star Robert Pattinson is really "incredibly hygienic"? So hygienic, in fact, that he's a threat to himself and his teeth? It's true, claims his Eclipse co-star Bryce Dallas Howard! When we ran into her at the recent New York premiere of her new movie, the Tennessee Williams–scripted The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond (out today), she told us about her first brush with Rob: "I actually came out to him that I was totally nervous about [meeting him]," said Howard, who will replace Rachelle Lafevre as evil vampire Victoria in next year's Twilight 3. "He’s such a sweet young man, and there’s such a distinctive difference between him and Edward Cullen. He does such a wonderful job embodying that character, and bringing that character to life. But when you meet him, he’s such a down-to-earth, humble person, you feel bad freaking out around him."

"But what does he smell like?" we inquired. "Actually, he’s incredibly hygienic," Howard insisted. "He told me this story that made me crack up. He was like, 'Oh, I have to go to the dentist.' And I was like, 'Oh no, what happened? Just a check-up?' And he was like, 'No, I chipped a tooth.' And I was like, 'How?' And he was like, ‘Flossing.’ Who does that? I don’t even floss. So he’s hygienic. Trust me."

TMZ has learned Christina Aguilera was involved in a minor car accident in West Hollywood moments ago.

According to witnesses at the scene ... Aguilera was riding shotgun in her own Range Rover -- which was being driven by her assistant -- when her SUV rear-ended another vehicle. As you can see in the photo of Aguilera's SUV above, the damage is minor -- we're also told no one complained of injuries.

Aguilera left the scene with her bodyguard shortly after the accident -- her assistant stayed behind with the SUV.

Story developing...

Rowan Atkinson's romantic night out with his wife Sunetra came to an abrupt end yesterday when his vintage car burst into flames.
The comedian, 54, had been driving home from a private dinner at Asprey's in Mayfair when the engine of his 1952 Jaguar racing car started smoking.
In scenes reminiscent of the bad luck which befalls his Mr Bean character, Atkinson tried to put out the flames with an extinguisher, before calling the RAC.

An eyewitness said: 'All the paparazzi were waiting outside Cipriani restaurant for Robert Downey Jr to come out when the engine caught on fire just down the street.
'Rowan lifted up the hood and tried to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, but ended up having to call for roadside assistance.'
After a mechanic tinkled with the car, they soon realised it would need further repairs so Atkinson and his wife took their luggage out of the car and put it in the tow truck.

The car was then lifted onto the tow truck, before the RAC man drove the Atkinsons home.

This is the latest car trouble to befall the actor, who is a vintage car enthusiast and keen racer.
In August, the Blackadder star ended up bruising his face and ribs after smashing his Audi convertible into a dustcart.
Two years ago, he was embarrassed when he reversed his rented 4x4 into a Volkswagen Jetta as he attempted to leave a car park in Aspen, Colorado.
In 1999, Atkinson crashed his £650,000 McLaren F1 supercar on the A6 in Lancashire.
In 2001, he escaped unhurt when his Aston Martin V8 Zagato collided with a barrier at a car enthusiasts meeting in Yorkshire.
Atkinson recently appeared in his Mr Bean guise at the Goodwood Revival Festival, driving the character's Mini while sitting on an armchair on the roof.

TBH, I always imagine Rowan Atkinson driving one of these:
