Paris Hilton’s too hot for TV….at least in Brazil.

A sexy beer ad featuring the socialite/heiress has been pulled from the airwaves in South America after consumer complaints and a watchdog agency’s investigation. The controversial campaign featured Hilton in a short black dress preening and rubbing herself with a can of Devassa beer to the delight a gaggle of Peeping Toms.

Last week, Brazilian ad watchdog group, Conar, demanded that the ad be removed, arguing that the ad treated women as sex objects and was “offensive to blondes.” Brazil’s Secretariat for Women’s Affairs also said it had received complaints about the ad.

Brewing company Schincariol, who manufacturers Devassa, has vowed to fight the ban.

If nothing else, Paris Hilton sure knows how to celebrate Paris Hilton.

The erstwhile Simple Lifer capped a weeklong birthday celebration Friday night with a bash at her house.

Among the approximately 100 attendees: boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, sister Nicky and her beau, David Katzenberg, Hayden Panettiere, Brandon Davis and parents Rick and Kathy.

The Studio 54-themed soiree was complete with a photo booth, a performance by Mickey Avalon, go-go dancers on poles and a red velvet Andy Warhol-inspired cake with Paris' face on it.

Paris, whose actual B-day was back on Feb. 17, tented her backyard and set up a dance floor, DJ and a special VIP area (we're not kidding), where the birthday girl spent most of the night with Reinhardt and her closest pals.

Many guests dressed for the party theme, including Panettiere who was barely recognizable in a sparkly gold dress, fake long eyelashes and her new dark hair—but was sans rumored new boyfriend, boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

Guests noshed on trays of Fatburger turkey burgers, mini grilled cheese sandwiches and small containers of buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese.

How pissed would you be if you went to a bday party at someone's house and they wouldn't let you into their special VIP area?

RIO DE JANEIRO – Paris Hilton is giving blondes a bad name.

So says Brazil's Secretariat for Women's Affairs, which wants a sultry beer commercial starring the hotel heiress, model and actor off the air.

The ad features Hilton in a short black dress preening and rubbing a can of Devassa beer on herself, to the delight of onlookers watching through her window.

The commercial isn't very explicit — especially in a land where postage-stamp-size bikinis are ubiquitous. But Brazil's regulations say beer commercials cannot treat women as overtly sensual objects.

"It's an ad that devalues women — in particular, blond women," according to a spokeswoman for the Women's Secretariat who said it received numerous complaints. She spoke Thursday on condition of anonymity because she was not free to discuss the case

Many Brazilian beer ads feature women in bikinis — but a key difference is that those are set on the beach, said Eduardo Correia, a spokesman for the regulator Conar, which has opened three separate investigations into the campaign.

"The problem with the ad isn't a lack of clothing, but its sensual nature," Correia said. "A woman in a bikini on a beach isn't necessarily sensual; it depends on the context."

Conar is a private agency that cannot legally force a company to remove an ad. But Correia said that in 23 years of existence, Conar has conducted more than 7,000 investigations and not one of its recommendations has been ignored.

Devassa, which means "naughty" in the most gentle of translations, is made by Grupo Schincariol. Calls to the company were not immediately returned Thursday.

Devassa's "Bem Loura" — "Very Blond" — beer also features an Internet campaign with Hilton wearing lingerie and high heels.

Hilton was in Brazil last week during Carnival for the opening of the ad campaign. Photos in local newspapers showed her crawling on the floor in a VIP room during the extravagant samba parades.

Is Hilton too hot for Brazil? A Brazilian beer ad featuring American socialite Paris Hilton is raising the ire of South American officials, who want the commercial banned for its sexually suggestive overtones, reports said Thursday.

The controversial spot is for national beer brand Devassa, and shows Hilton prance around a Rio apartment in a tiny black dress while a peeping-tom neighbor snaps pictures of her bending over in a series of provocative poses.

According to Rio newsmagazine Veja, the ad is being slammed as both sexist and demeaning to women. Is this the same Brazil where nearly every ad as far as the eye can see features barely-clad young women in string bikinis?

Conar, the nation’s watchdog commission on the ad industry, as well as the government’s women’s rights coalition are investigating the commercial and will issue a decision on its fate sometime in the coming weeks.
