Now that she has returned from debuting her fashion lines in Europe, Nicole Richie has some work to do on the home front - like plan her wedding to Joel Madden!

And she'll definitely be walking down the aisle soon!

"It's a big deal," said Nicole of the wedding prep. "I've been on the road. I just got home, so it's really going to be like now that's the time for me to sit down and think about what I want."

But neither of them have any clue what they want on their big day nor have they set a date.

"The same thing as our engagement, we're kind of doing it at our own pace. We have no idea right now," said Joel.

Can't wait for the deets!

We agree with the majority on this one!!

5,000 moms were polled at BabyCenter.com on their most and least favorite celebrity baby names, and Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr.'s 5-month old, Charlotte Grace, won most favorite with 49% of the vote!!

A far second place favorite was Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's Seraphina Rose Elizabeth at 12%, and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's Sparrow James Midnight was christened the least popular.

We don't think Sparrow is as bad as some other celebrity baby names, but Charlotte Grace really is a beautiful. And NORMAL!!

Hollywood's Kodak Theatre was swarming with celebs last night for the Oscars and while the telecast went well over the 3 hour mark, there is still a lot the folks at home didn't get to see.

For instance, Matt Damon and his Luciana were seen rubbing elbows with his competition at the bar. Matt shared a glass of champagne with Stanley Tucci to toast their loss to Christoph Waltz. A little bubbly to ease the pain!

Across the way, in the lobby, Jake Gyllenhall was seen having a lengthy conversation with Rachel McAdams. He finally took a moment to introduce her to a friend of his, announcing, "This is Rachel McAdams, she's the mother of my child!" (Cue no-one laughing at this zinger!)

Backstage, Twilighters Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were spotted giggling like school girls over the excitement of present the tribute to horror flicks, (which Twilight is certainly not) and deejay Joel Madden enjoyed his spot in a private box adjacent to the stage, where he got to watch the show and spun tunes like future father-in-law Lionel Richie's Easy Like Sunday Morning during commercial breaks.

Yeah, it's just about as exciting as the actual show was. Oh, BTW, we're fairly certain the show wouldn't have gone into overtime had there not been an interpretive dance portion of the show, brought to you by The Gap. Just saying.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden look stunning on the red carpet together at the 2010 Oscars held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday (March 7) in Hollywood.

The 28-year-old fashionista (in Reem Acra and shoes by Bally) is joining her 30-year-old sweetheart, who’s DJing at this evening’s ceremony! ” I’m here setting up,” Joel tweeted earlier today, “and this show looks like its gonna be awesome!”

“[C]heck out my date,” he added later with a photo of Nicole. “Yes she’s mine. Feel like a winner. Feels like I won an oscar.”

We spotted newly engaged couple Joel Madden and Nicole Richie taking a leisurely stroll through NYCs SoHo neighborhood looking very...matchy-matchy.  

Earlier today, Joel took to his Twitter account to tell us about seeing Leonardo DiCaprio's latest film Shutter Island and the similarities between the film and his own relationship.  

"I went and saw Shutter Island.  Oddly it reminded me of my relationship.  I'm pretty sure Nicole pulled the same stuff on me.  And here I am...Yep pretty sure she brainwashed me."

We think he's joking, but this should land him a dirty diaper...or two.

Nicole Richie designed her own engagement ring.

After three years and two children, the socialite revealed her engagement to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden during an appearance on CBS’ Late Show With David Letterman this week. Wedding plans have been in the works for months and Nicole worked with renowned celebrity jeweler Neil Lane on the band, which is accentuated flawless four carat, round diamond. Lane has created pieces for a host of stars, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Nicole Kidman, and Charlize Theron, but was smitten with the way Joel allowed his bride-to-be to have complete control over the design.

“We designed it together. Nicole was lovely and wonderful to work with on it! She wanted a beautiful, special ring and wanted to be intimately involved in the design,” Lane told PEOPLE Magazine on Wednesday. “Joel just wanted her to have her dream ring.”

Joel and Nicole are expected to wed this summer.

After three years and two babies, Nicole Richie and her rock star boyfriend Joel Madden are finally ready to take the plunge. The socialite-turned-designer spilled the beans on their engagement during a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman that will air this Friday.

And now that Joel and Nicole are making their love official, the bride’s famous dad can’t wait to escort her down the aisle.

“My happiness for Nicole and Joel knows no boundaries,” 60-year-old R&B legend Lionel Richie said Tuesday. “They have given me two beautiful grandchildren, Harlow and Sparrow, and have proven to be great parents. I am not sure who is luckier, Nicole and Joel to have each other, or me, to have both of them in my life. I cannot wait to give away the bride!”

There seems to be nothing but good wishes coming from Nicole Richie's father about her recent engagement. Lionel Richie is all too pleased that his little girl is marrying Joel Madden. Upon hearing the news, Lionel said:
