Dave, the younger brother of James Franco, shared this funny story: “I got mistaken for myself at a Starbucks once. This guy came up to me and said, ‘Hey, man, you look a lot like that guy, James Franco’s little brother, Dave.’ And I was like, ‘Pssshhh. Man, that fool? That guy sucks.’ ”

Carey Mulligan and Hunter Parrish are back in black at the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards gala at NYC’s Cipriani on Tuesday (January 12).

The 24-year-old An Education starlet, who wore a gown by Prada, took home the award for Best Actress! Carey told USA Today that she’d found a way to counteract red carpet nerves: “I always have a bag I can hold on to really hard,” she shared.

Hunter, 22, came to the ceremony to support his film, It’s Complicated, which took home the award for Best Ensemble Cast! He also wore a shirt from Shipley & Halmos.

Hunter Parrish shows his silly side in this shoot for Issue #16 of VMan.

The 22-year-old actor, best known for his role as Silas on Weeds, posed for Doug Inglish and covered the issue, which is dedicated to up-and-coming TV and film actors.

Hunter, who will be working with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin in the upcoming film It’s Complicated, shared what Meryl taught him while they worked together.

“The greatest lesson she taught me is to trust yourself and don’t be afraid to take risks,” Hunter said.

Weeds hottie Hunter Parrish discussed his fine behind, Zefron, how he was the front-runner for the role of Troy in High School Musical and older women in an interview for the new issue of GQ.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On being shirtless on Weeds:
It’s not contractual, it’s just where my storyline is. I had to show my butt last season for the first time. And I had a hard time deciding whether to do it—we didn’t decide until the morning of the shoot.

On his affair Julie Bowen (15 years his senior) on Weeds, sleeping with an older woman on Law & Order and appearing in a Funny or Die video about cougars:
I don’t know. Maybe I’m a better actor when I know there’s going to be an older woman involved.

On being offered the Zac Efron part in High School Musical:
That is definitely a rumor but it was really, really close. It was down to five guys and then I got offered a part in this amazing Robin Williams movie. And I thought to myself: fly to Vancouver and meet the director for this Robin Williams movie, or stay and finish the auditions for the Disney Channel movie? So I didn’t even go to the last audition. I heard a rumor that I was their favorite, but I never made it to the end. I mean I would have had a blast doing it. But I’m so happy for Zac, he’s the only guy for that.

Damn, right!

We can imagine our lives without Zefron, but Hunter definitely isn't terrible to look at!
