George Clooney gets cheeky as he films scenes for his new film, The Descendants, on Friday (March 12) in Hawaii.

The 48-year-old actor filmed scenes in a car and outside near some foliage for a few shots.

The Descendants, expected out in 2011, also stars The Secret Life of the American Teenager actress Shailene Woodley. The film’s about a land baron and his daughters working to keep their family together.

George Clooney arrives at the 2010 Oscars with his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis held at the Kodak Theater on Sunday (March 7) in Hollywood.

The 48-year-old Up In The Air actor is nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Academy Awards tonight.

George is no stranger to the big awards show. In addition to being nominated multiple times, the Oceans 11 actor already has an Oscar under his belt when he won in 2005 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in Syriana.

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly ready to snap up George Clooney's Lake Como villa after he put it up for sale.

The 48-year-old actor has put his Italian home on the market because he has reportedly grown tired of fans and photographers hanging around outside the property.

Russian billionaire Tariko Roustam has reportedly offered $30million for the home, despite the asking price being just $20million.

David, 34, is reportedly wants to purchase the property after spending several days there last year while on loan to AC Milan.

According to Italian newspapers, he reportedly said to pals: "I have fallen in love with the beautiful countryside. It's peaceful, quiet and near Milan. It would be great for the family."

Elisabetta Canalis — the Italian model and TV personality currently romantically-linked to Oscar-nominated actor George Clooney — is reportedly in talks to star on the third season of the TNT crime drama Leverage.

Sources tell Us Weeekly Canalis met with producers last month to discuss playing an international secret agent.

“She’s very excited about the part as well as the chance to break into American television,” an insider spilled to the mag. “She knows she’ll be over here (the U.S.) to be with George at the Oscars so she’s hoping to shoot some of her part then,” the snitch adds.

Canalis is currently featured in the ad campaign for the Spring collection from designer Roberto Cavalli. The upcoming third season of Leverage – featuring Timothy Hutton and Christina Kane — is scheduled to debut this summer.

Simon Cowell is rumored to be engaged to girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy after she was spotted with a £250,000 diamond on her ring finger! A friend reveals:

"Simon loves Mezghan, it's as simple as that. He's an incredibly instinctive person and this is just right. When he turned 50 in October, he was forced to evaluate things and really think about what he wanted from life.

"Mezghan has been by his side for months now, she cared for him the other week when he was so sick he was forced to miss Britain's Got Talent auditions. This is something that Simon isn't telling many people, but they are engaged. Mezghan is a great girl and extremely down to earth."

How exciting! And Simon seems to be showing his softer side saying, "She's very special. You know when you've found somebody very special," as he filmed a TV interview alongside Piers Morgan recently. And when asked about children, he said:

George Clooney receives a very warm welcome from a friend as he and Elisabetta Canalis arrive via private jet to St. Moritz, Switzerland on Sunday (February 7).

The 48-year-old actor helped the Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief telethon raise more than $66 million to date for relief efforts.

The money will be split between eight organizations including Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF, World Food Programme, Yele Haiti Foundation and Clinton-Bush Haiti Foundation. Donations will be accepted for the next six months online (www.hopeforhaitinow.org).
