As you know, President Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize and he is donating the $1.4 million prize to 10 different charities.

"These organizations do extraordinary work in the United States and abroad helping students, veterans and countless others in need," Obama says. "I'm proud to support their work."

The 10 charities and their donation amounts include:

$250,000 to Fisher House
$200,000 to Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund
$200,000 to College Summit
$125,000 to The Posse Foundation
$125,000 to The United Negro College Fund
$125,000 to The Hispanic Scholarship Fund
$125,000 to the Appalachian Leadership and Education Foundation
$125,000 to the American Indian College Fund
$100,000 to AfriCare
$100,000 to the Central Asia Institute

Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama kick off The International Women’s Day reception in the East Room of the White House on Monday (March 8) in Washington DC.

The 46-year-old First Lady began by saying, “I get to speak first while he stands and watches. I love this,” she said to laughter. “Look at me adoringly,” she told her husband.

This year’s celebration was emceed by actress Kerry Washington and featured performances by Afghani singer Mozhdah Jamalzadah and American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee.

During his concert yesterday in Washington D.C., Jay-Z told an excited crowd that he finally got to sit down with a huge fan of his - President Barack Obama.

Official confirmed that Jay stopped over at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave before his concert and got the chance to chat briefly with the Prez.

President Barack Obama will help one of TV’s longest-running series mark an important milestone. Obama will be interviewed by crime crusader John Walsh on the 1,000 episode of America’s Most Wanted, airing 9 PM EST Saturday on FOX, the network said Wednesday.

The Commander-in-Chief will discuss the show’s impact in its 22 years as well as his administration’s anti-crime initiatives on street and white collar crime.

Republican Senator Paul Broun from Georgia may be doctor, but he is just another partisan dipshit!

President Obama recently announced that he would only incorporate four minor Republican ideas into the recent health care bill and understandably, the GOP was pissed.

It was up to Senator Broun to officially make us ashamed of our government!

The idiot said:

"I don't know if we should be insulted or humored at the President's feeble attempts to incorporate Republican ideas into his latest health care proposal. Snooki, from the Jersey Shore, has more substance than President Obama's offer.

Instead of listening to the American people, the President has once again demonstrated his arrogance and ignorance about what the nation expects from its leaders. This is "The Situation," Mr. President: the American people do not want unconstitutional mandates and job-killing tax increases. They are concerned with the costs of premiums, the quality of their health care and ensuring their children and grandchildren are not left with the bill. If you want to govern with the consent of the governed, you need to scrap this government take-over plan and embrace more of our commonsense solutions that protect the vital patient/doctor relationship and decrease the costs of premiums without adding to the national debt."

Maybe Mr Obama made this decision due to the lack of cooperation and rational insight he was getting from the GOP. Everyone wants to get on their soapbox and shout, but no one wants to have a civil conversation.

You wanna talk to Snooki about the healthcare debate?! Good luck! But here is "the Situation" Senator: You are making a fool of yourself and not helping anyone with your cutesy bullshit.

We posted earlier today that the Thea Anema, mother of Jasmina, the six year old girl Rihanna befriend who later died from her battle with leukemia - tweeted her unhappiness that the singer had not contacted her since her daughter's passing.

Anema has now come forward claiming that she is not responsible for the message and that her friends have her Twitter account password.

"Friends have helped me with all kinds of stuff and many know the passwords to my personal e-mail, the Caringbridge site and also Twitter. Although I did not Tweet this particular one, I do wish that Rihanna had responded to me on Jasmina's passing. It would have meant the world to me. Jasmina adored her. Rihanna was so kind to come and visit her. I just felt hurt not hearing anything from her. Or of any other celebrities for that matter. The only ones who reached out to me personally during this time of grief were the Obamas."

That's pretty unfortunate, RiRi!

Sources close to the singer say, however, that Jasmina's death has just been too hard on her.

"She really loved this little girl. It was hard for her to deal with a child passing away, especially a little girl she had come to care for so much."

We understand it's hard thing to do, but you need to pick up the phone and do the right thing, bb!!

Jay-Z tells British host Jonathan Ross that he has a fan in the Oval Office!

The rapper, who supported Obama during the presidential campaign, says he’s been invited to the White House “a couple of times” but has been busy with touring, adding, “Hopefully we’ll keep him in for eight years, so I’ll have eight years to get there.”

Jay shared that when he’d called the president, Obama was playing his album, The Blueprint, in the gym!

As for whether he’d ever heard Obama freestyle rap, Jay laughed and replied, “No, I don’t want him to do that.”
