But he's still not a fan!
Adam Lambert admitted that his mean-spirited comments about Susan Boyle's album were a little over the line saying, "It came across a bit harsher than how it actually went down. But I'm not a fan of the record, it wasn't a lie."
As for people's misconceptions about him and being an American Idol contestant he explains:
"[People think] you come off the show and all of a sudden you are put in this machine and puppeted into this product. That's not my experience at all. I'm a pretty outspoken, upfront, forward type of person, and I have opinions about what I want to be as an artist.
"I told them I want to be glam, be pop, be rock, I want to be everything, blend it all together and have a great time doing it. Be theatrical and be out there."
Good for you, Adam — but we still think you could give SuBo a break! She has a completely different sound and audience in comparison to you!

Who says you need to win American Idol to get big?! (Really all you need is to appeal to middle America!)
Season 8 American Idol contestant Danny Gokey released his new album last week and already it is soaring up the music charts. He has sold over 65,000 copies of his CD, My Best Days, which has landed him at the #4 spot on the Billboard 200 and #3 country album-sales chart.
Crazy!
Somewhere out there, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are asking themselves, "WHY?!"

He took a while to respond again, but OUCH!
Last November we reported that Sting had lashed out at Simon Cowell and his shows American Idol and The X-Factor, calling them "televised karaoke" and "preposterous!"
Cowell must have let those comments sit and fester for a while, because he just bit back at Sting. HARD.
“First of all, anybody who at the age of 60 calls himself Sting is an idiot. I find those kind of people… who come from quite humble beginnings and they’re (now) living in these stately homes, professing to know everything about everything in the world, and what the contestants may or may not feel… They can say that because they’ve got everything they want in their lives, but what they’re really saying is anybody else who needs a shot shouldn’t be allowed to do it.”
Eek. We predict that this feud is going to get a lot NASTIER, and soon.
We still are on Team Simon with this one. Why is Sting even talking about him??
He has a new tour to focus on!!

This week, with the finalists d down to 16, Idol producers are cutting back the performance shows to 1 hour. Hooray!!! Less blah blah from the judges and bad karaoke singing.

HD can be a gal's worst nightmare!
Especially if you're Ellen DeGeneres!
After catching a glimpse of her mug on Idol in HD, Ellen rounded up her own lighting crew to prevent what she believed were "unflattering" close-up shots!
"So she proceeded to order her own lighting team from her show to come over and make her look better," one insider revealed. "She had her people add lights and filters to ease her age lines."
Hey - soft lighting is a thousand times better than going down the botox road!

Voodoo'American Idol' runner-up tweets that spacey track will appear on upcoming For Your Entertainment remix EP.Adam Lambert is under someone's spell in his new song "Voodoo." The track, which appears on international versions of Lambert's debut album For Your Entertainment, should be released in the U.S. soon, according to his Twitter account. Lambert announced the song's release to his fans late Thursday, writing, "Song will be released soon in US on WWFM & FYE Remix EP! Check out VOODOO! Bonus track co-written w Sam Sparro appearing on international release of FYE. Turn it up." "Voodoo" has a spacey feel that is reminiscent of the For Your Entertainment cover art. (Co-writer Sparro has penned tracks for "Star Trek" and "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." With its throwback, new-romantic vibe, it feels like it could have easily been recorded by Duran Duran during their 1980s heyday. The song opens with last year's "American Idol" runner-up singing "Moon shine/ On the bayou/ Love shrine/ Break the taboo/ I want to know what's/ In your potion/ Bound by total devotion." Before long, Lambert is singing about his lover's "voodoo" and being under a spell. Lambert, who is currently on an international promo tour, is planning to hit the road in the U.S. in support of For Your Entertainment. He recently told MTV News that he hopes to show off some next-level looks on stage. "I hate the term, 'Oh, I couldn't ever pull that off,' " he said. "I let that go when I was about 20. I try to aim to pull anything off that comes my way." SOURCE, SOURCE

Madonna’s brother, Christopher Ciccone, is desperate to get Simon Cowell’s seat as a judge on American Idol. Ciccone, who has been his sister’s assistant, backup dancer, stylist, and artistic director at various points throughout his career, has launched a Facebook page — “Christopher Ciccone for American Idol!” — to promote his campaign to join TV’s most-watched talent show.
Too bad the page has drawn only 602 members!
“I think I can bring a particular kind of credibility to the show. I’d be the only person sitting at the table who actually created a pop star from the beginning, and helped keep her there for 20 years,” he told The New York Post’s PageSix Column on Friday. “I know what it takes to make it,” he added.

And then there were 16. We said farewell to four more semifinalists on American Idol Thursday, and unlike last week, no one really had any a good reason to complain. Getting the boot this week were: college student John Park, 21; Holy Roller Jermaine Sellers, 27; Miami’s own Michelle Delamor, 22; and 16-year-old Haeley Vaughn — who butchered her rendition of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb.”
