She’s one of Hollywood’s most iconic small screen vixens, but this spring, 76-year-old actress Joan Collins is trading acting for modeling as the face of jewelry designer Alexis Bittar’s poster campaign.

"Alexis Bittar is my favourite costume jewelry designer," says Collins. "His whimsical designs suit my personality effortlessly. I always feel glamorous and sexy whenever I adorn myself in his creations."

Launching to coincide with fashion week, the ads will loom large on billboards across New York City.

Joan Collins will be returning to the silver screen in a delicious, dark independent movie entitled "Fetish," filming this week in New York City.

Joan accepted the role recognizing that the wave of the future is entrusting your career outside of the studio system with maverick filmmakers and accepting great roles where you can find them.

The screenplay for "Fetish" was written by Charles Casillo, who is the author of the novels "The Fame Game" and "The Marilyn Diaries."

The story revolves around an iconic actress on the skids, making a play for a comeback with a late night talk show host.

In an interview with Liz Smith, Joan has described the project as "Twilight Zone" meets "Sunset Boulevard" meets "David Letterman."

Back when she first came to Hollywood, Jackie Collins arrived at the Chateau Marmont to stay with her actress sister, Joan. Little did she know she’d also be seeing a lot of Warren Beatty, who had a tiny room on the hotel’s top floor.

“Joan told me, ‘You’re sleeping in Warren’s room, Warren is sleeping with me,” Jackie tells us. “So I had to swap beds with him every night on the sly. I never slept with him myself.

But every morning he would borrow my sun reflector. Being English I loved the sun, and Warren being an actor, he loved to look tan. I’d have to fight to get it back.” Does Jackie think Warren is up to his old tricks now that’s married to Annette Bening? “Warren has fallen into family life. He realizes that it’s time to zip it up. And he has.”

P.S.: Jackie admits borrowing from the life of a lesser Lothario, Eliot Spitzer, for her 27th book, “Poor Little Bitch Girl,” out Feb. 9. “I was obsessed with that story. We seem to forgive cheating men, but we never forgive cheating women.”
