Halloween

In what has become a rather entertaining sideshow to the historic Thanksgiving Day game, the halftime performers were introduced Friday at Valley Ranch.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that the Grammy-nominated rock band, Daughtry, will perform live at Cowboys Stadium during halftime of the Raiders game on Nov. 26.
The halftime show, which is used annually to kick off the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign, is aired nationally on CBS.
Daughtry is led by vocalist Chris Daughtry, a fourth-place finisher in 2007 on the popular "American Idol," a Fox reality show that has now produced three halftime performers in Carrie Underwood (2006) and Kelly Clarkson (2007).
Daughtry will perform a medley of songs from their chart-topping album, "Leave This Town," along with other big hits, including "Over You" and "It's Not Over."
"Thanksgiving is a time for great traditions, like watching the Cowboys game, giving thanks for the blessings in your life and remembering those less fortunate," said Chris Daughtry. "This year, the band will perform at the game during halftime and encourage people to generously support a fantastic charity that has a real impact on people's lives."
This will be the 13the year the Cowboys' halftime show has launched the Red Kettle campaign, which has raised more than $1 billion since the partnership began in 1997. Previous halftime performers include Toby Keith, Sheryl Crow, Destiny's Child and Reba McEntire, the first performer back at Texas Stadium.
